He Came for One Drink. The Background Came for Everything Else.

A zebra’s long striped neck rises from the lower right corner of a vast, saturated amber-yellow ground, head tilted back at the top of the frame, martini glass balanced in its mouth with the practiced calm of an animal who has done this at every party and will do it at every party to come. The impasto texture of the background hums with energy. The stripes are precise. The olive is still in the glass. This is the most confident thing in the room and it knows it.

Why You'll Love It

• The composition is the joke and the masterpiece — a single striped neck emerging from the corner of a field of pure saturated yellow, martini at the apex; the negative space does as much work as the subject and the whole thing is funnier and better every time you look at it
• Dopamine yellow at full volume — the background is not gold, not mustard, not amber — it is a fully committed, high-saturation yellow that charges the room with energy the moment it goes up; this piece changes the light in the space it occupies
• Impasto oil texture with graphic soul — the rich textured ground gives the piece the physical presence of a large-format original while the bold graphic stripes and cocktail subject keep it playful, contemporary, and completely impossible to categorize
• HD archival printing on artist-grade canvas — vivid saturated yellow, crisp black and white zebra stripes, and bright martini glass rendered with fade-resistant clarity
• Natural wood frame available — clean float frame finish, ready to hang out of the box
• Made & shipped in the USA — printed on demand, crafted with care
• 9 sizes available — from 8x12" accent to 34x51" statement piece

• A housewarming or birthday gift for the person whose aesthetic is confident, saturated, and always the most interesting thing in the room

"He arrived uninvited. He brought the martini. He improved the party by several standard deviations and he has never once been asked to leave."
