The Coffee Is Not Ready Yet. Neither Is He. They Are in This Together and the Day Can Wait.

Three coffee cups are stacked in a tower, and in the top one, a dachshund is sitting. He is not fully awake. His eyes are at partial capacity. He has his front paws on the rim of the cup and he is watching the coffee drip down from one cup to the next with the patient, heavy focus of someone who understands that this process cannot be rushed and that attempting to rush it would only make things worse. Below the cups, in the warm rounded hand of someone who has been there, two words summarize the situation completely: but first, coffee. The illustration is clean blue line on cream ground — the classic, timeless color combination of something that will work in a kitchen, a home office, a coffee corner, a morning person’s bedroom, and any space that has ever had a slow start and made peace with it.

Why You'll Love It

• The most relatable morning canvas in the collection — a half-asleep dachshund sits in a stacked coffee cup tower watching coffee drip down while bold handwritten text reads “but first, coffee”; the mood is universal, the execution is charming, and the dachshund is doing exactly what everyone in the room is also doing
• Contemporary line art — clean, modern, endlessly versatile — crisp cobalt blue line on warm cream; the aesthetic is fresh and graphic enough for a modern kitchen, warm enough for a cozy home office, minimal enough for a Scandi or Japandi interior
• A cultural truth in five words — “but first, coffee” is not a slogan, it is a philosophy; this piece gives it the wall space it deserves, with a dachshund as its spokesperson because a dachshund in a coffee cup is simply the correct visual representation of how mornings feel
• Kitchen, coffee corner, and home office art that actually delivers — most coffee-themed art is either too loud or too generic; this piece has a specific mood, a specific character, and a specific line quality that makes it feel designed rather than decorated
• HD archival printing on artist-grade canvas — cobalt blue line work and warm cream ground reproduced with crisp, fade-resistant, gallery-quality precision at every size
• Natural wood float frame available — ready to hang straight out of the box, no extra hardware needed
• 9 sizes available — from 8x12" coffee corner accent to 34x51" kitchen statement wall
• Made & shipped in the USA — printed on demand, crafted with care

Perfect For

• Kitchens, coffee corners, home offices, breakfast nooks, and any space that starts its morning slowly and has decided to be honest about it
• Dachshund lovers, coffee enthusiasts, line art collectors, minimalist interior fans, and anyone whose morning routine begins with the cup and ends with the capability to function
• The most universally giftable art in the collection — for a coffee person, a dog person, a new homeowner, a coworker, or anyone whose wall has been waiting for something warm, funny, and exactly right

"He did not choose the cup. The cup was the right size and it was warm and that was sufficient. The coffee dripping down is not his concern. His concern is the coffee that is already here."
