They're Not Watching the Birds. They're Planning.

A Siamese and a black cat sit side by side on a weathered red fence, tails hanging, backs to the world, eyes fixed on a flock of birds lifting from a golden wheat field. White wildflowers sway below. A green oak spreads its branches to the left. The sky is wide and soft and full of clouds. Neither cat has said a word in several minutes. They don't need to. Painted in a warm, illustrative oil style with a rich harvest palette and a composition that feels like a deep breath, this piece brings the quiet magic of a countryside afternoon into any room — and a knowing smile to anyone who has ever watched a cat watch a bird.
