"Did You Hear About the One With the French Fry?"

Two plump white seagulls stand beak-to-beak on a sun-bleached surface, deeply engrossed in a conversation that is clearly very important to both of them. The soft teal sky behind them has the warmth of a summer afternoon that’s been going on for years. Painted in a loose, expressive impasto style — thick brushstrokes, golden accents, feathers that almost ruffle in the breeze — this piece captures the exact energy of two old friends who have been talking since before you arrived and will still be talking after you leave. Charming, warm, and impossible not to smile at.
