They’ve Been Doing This Every Morning. The Coffee Helps. Slightly.

Two round-headed black dogs stand side by side, each clutching a coffee mug — one red, one blue — staring at each other with the wide, slightly unhinged expression of creatures who have been awake for eleven minutes and are doing their best. A small orange cat sits between them, presumably responsible for the situation. The sky blue background is cheerful. The dogs are not yet cheerful. The coffee is working on it. Painted in a loose, expressive cartoon style with the energy of a good children’s book illustration that wandered into the wrong gallery and decided to stay.

Why You'll Love It

• The most accurate morning portrait ever made — two dogs, two coffees, one cat, zero explanations; this is the pre-caffeine experience rendered in paint and it is completely correct
• Expressive cartoon illustration style — loose confident linework, bold flat shapes, sky blue ground, and the specific joyful energy of art made by someone who genuinely loves both dogs and mornings, in that order
• The cat is the whole subplot — small, orange, seated between the dogs with the calm of someone who has caused the situation and has no intention of addressing it; the cat makes this piece and the cat knows it
• HD archival printing on artist-grade canvas — bold black, sky blue, vivid red and blue mugs, and warm orange cat rendered with fade-resistant clarity
• Natural wood frame available — clean float frame finish, ready to hang out of the box
• Made & shipped in the USA — printed on demand, crafted with care
• 9 sizes available — from 8x12" accent to 34x51" statement piece

Perfect For

• Kitchens, coffee nooks, living rooms, and any space that wants art with genuine warmth, a sense of humor, and the ability to make people smile before their first cup is finished
• Dog lovers, cat people who also have dogs, coffee enthusiasts, and anyone who has ever stood in their kitchen at 7am looking exactly like these two dogs
• A housewarming, birthday, or “thought of you immediately” gift for someone whose mornings involve pets, coffee, and questionable decision-making in that exact order

"The cat woke them up. The cat always wakes them up. The coffee was the cat’s idea too, technically. The dogs are grateful and suspicious in equal measure."
