He Is Running. He Has Always Been Running. He Will Not Stop.

A dachshund in full sprint crosses a field of loose ink grass, legs extended in the four-beat gallop of a dog who has spotted something important and has made a decisive commitment to it. The style is vintage sporting illustration — confident black ink linework on cream, with the energy and precision of the best mid-century naturalist prints and field guides. This dog is small. This dog is fast. This dog is not interested in your timeline.

Why You'll Love It

• The movement is everything — all four legs off the ground, ears back, body fully extended; this is the dachshund at maximum velocity and the drawing captures it with the kind of loose confident line that took years to make look effortless
• Vintage sporting illustration style — black ink on warm cream ground, loose grass strokes beneath the feet, and the graphic clarity of classic hunting and field illustration; this piece has the timeless quality of a print that could have come from a very good 1950s sporting magazine
• Works everywhere — the black-and-white palette and vintage illustration style means this piece works in modern, traditional, farmhouse, and eclectic interiors with equal ease; it never competes and always improves
• HD archival printing on artist-grade canvas — crisp ink black, warm cream ground, and loose field grass rendered with vivid, fade-resistant clarity
• Natural wood frame available — clean float frame finish, ready to hang out of the box
• Made & shipped in the USA — printed on demand, crafted with care
• 9 sizes available — from 8x12" accent to 34x51" statement piece

Perfect For

• Living rooms, entryways, home offices, and any space that wants art with classic sporting character, a timeless black-and-white palette, and a subject who takes himself very seriously at considerable speed
• Dachshund lovers, vintage illustration collectors, dog art enthusiasts, and anyone who has watched a dachshund run and thought “that deserves to be framed”
• A birthday, housewarming, or “I saw this and knew” gift for the dachshund owner, the vintage art lover, or anyone whose dog is faster than he looks

"He was asked where he was going. He did not answer. The question was irrelevant. The direction was forward. The speed was correct. That was sufficient."
