He doesn’t explain himself. The whiskey does that.

A black Labrador sits in the dim warmth of a gentleman’s study, a cigar held with practiced ease, a glass of whiskey resting on the table beside him — the whole scene painted in deep, moody tones that feel lifted straight from a 19th-century portrait gallery. The dark, atmospheric palette and deadpan composure give this piece a genuinely sophisticated edge: it’s funny in the way that only truly confident art can be, and handsome enough to anchor any room it enters.
